Billy Cook
JANUARY 14, 1999 - IN HONOR OF WILLIAM IVOR COOK, JR.

Billy loses his battle with Cystic Fibrosis. Billy Haywood, Carrie Hall, Dave Cella, Dusty Hopkins and other friends meet at Tyler Fitzgerald's, the local bar and hangout of Billy and his friends, and with the offer of Tyler's management to support any efforts, decide to have a fundraiser for Cystic Fibrosis in honor of Billy. After discussion with the Cook family and Dr. John Goodill and Deb Cebenka, from the Christiana Hospital CF Program, the Billy Cook Foundation is formed.

MARCH 7, 1999 - 1st ANNUAL CYSTIC FIBROSIS BEEF & BEER

The "1st Annual Cystic Fibrosis Beef & Beer" is held at Tyler Fitzgerald's Restaurant and Bar. The owners graciously donate their establishment and the employees donate their time to help in the fight against CF. Lots of hard work and determination is needed to make this event a huge success, in such a short time. Over 350 tickets are sold to family and close friends, selling out in less than three weeks.

Many generous donations are received, major contributors include Alliant Food Service - food; Standard Distributors -beer; I.D. Griffith - T-shirts; Comcast - auction items; and last but not least, John Weinkowitz for his $5,000 donation at the event. Mango Soles provide the party sounds and 'partied like it was 1999'! Joel Atkinson, the winner of the 50/50 money pool graciously gives his $350 winnings to the Foundation, and the bartenders donate $800 in tips. The event raises over $15,000 including the ticket sales, T-shirt sales, silent auction items, etc.

FUTURE PLANS

The Billy Cook Foundation will continue to support the goals established in 1999. We will try to increase our community presence and support by working more closely with the A.I. To the Delaware Community,

We thank you for your continued emotional and financial support. We would also like to thank our corporate sponsors, everyone behind the scenes, and those in attendance, whose generosity make our fundraisers successful. With your help we ARE making a difference and helping families in their fight against Cystic Fibrosis.
